This Dell laptop features a 12th-generation Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 15.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a spec sheet we rarely see at this price point: Most cheap, entry-level PCs under $300 have dinky Intel Celeron N Series CPUs, 4GB of RAM, pokier eMMC flash storage, and 60Hz refresh rates. It’s down to $299.99 on Dell’s website — that’s not much of a discount on its MSRP, but it’s a fantastic price for these specs.

Why we like it

Why we like it

The latest MSI Cyborg 15 is a respectable budget gaming laptop that recently earned a Mashable Choice Award for its overall value. This specific configuration comes with less RAM and a slightly older processor compared to the model we tested (8GB versus 16GB and a 12th-gen versus 13th-gen Intel Core i7, respectively), but it’s packing a peppier NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU.
