The radically liberal Hollywood star Robert De Niro launched a truly unhinged attack on the former President Donald Trump and his millions of supporters this week, claiming that democracy “won’t survive” if he is reelected.

De Niro Brands Trump As ‘Evil’

“I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men,” De Niro said in a statement read by former Trump administration official Miles Taylor at The New Republic’s “Stop Trump Summit” in New York on Wednesday, according to The Hill.

De Niro, 80, could not attend the summit himself after testing positive for COVID-19.

“I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump,” he stated. “When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly. I see an evil one.”

“Over the years I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off,” the Godfather actor continued. “Even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story, but they have a moral code, however warped.”

“Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy,” De Niro added. “With no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself: Not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves as friends. He has contempt for all of them.”

De Niro Attacks Trump Supporters 

Not stopping there, De Niro proceeded to brand Trump as a “fool” before urging his fellow liberals not to write the former president off when it comes to the 2024 presidential election.

“Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously,” De Niro said. “This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator, and it won’t overcome evil if we are divided.”

“We have to reach out to half of the country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House,” he added. “They’re not stupid and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice.”

However, just seconds later, De Niro shamed Trump supporters by telling liberals not to mention democracy when reaching out to them because “they’ve already turned their backs on it.”

“Democracy may be our holy grail. Let’s talk about right and wrong. Let’s talk about humanity. Let’s talk about kindness, security for our world, safety for our families, decency,” De Niro concluded. “Let’s welcome them back. We won’t get them all, we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump.”

De Niro And Trump Go At It

De Niro has long been obsessively against Trump and anyone who dared to vote for him. Back in 2018, De Niro received a standing ovation for cursing out Trump onstage at the Tony Awards.

“I’m going to say one thing: ‘F— Trump,’” De Niro said at the time, according to The Hill. “It’s no longer ‘down with Trump,’ it’s ‘f— Trump.’”

Trump fired back at him days later in a way that only he can.

“Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received to many shots to the head by real boxers in movies,” Trump said. “I watched him last night and truly believe he may be ‘punch-drunk.’”

“I guess he doesn’t realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country,” he added. “Wake up Punchy!”

De Niro is such a Hollywood narcissist that he actually thinks he has some influence over how the American people vote in presidential election. In the end, anyone who is dumb enough to take De Niro’s opinion into account when it comes to politics was never going to vote for Trump anyway. De Niro might as well save his breath, because he accomplishes nothing with these anti-Trump rants aside from showing just how out of touch with reality he really is himself!
